Internship in 3D Modeling

At Avionav, I focused on designing 3D parts with Solidworks, using existing components as a base. Initially, I assessed the need for 3D scanning. Then, I analyzed structural aspects like symmetry and revolution axes. With this understanding, I created components, ensuring adherence to the established structure. The outcome included the required parts, detailed technical drawings, and a Bill of Materials (BOM), streamlining production processes.

Objective

My primary objective during my internship at Avionav was to design 3D parts using Solidworks based on existing parts. This task required translating the characteristics of physical parts into accurate digital models.

Actions

To achieve this objective, I undertook several specific actions. First, when necessary, I used a 3D scan of existing parts to obtain an accurate base. Next, I determined the structure of each part, identifying symmetries, axes of revolution, and critical parameters. Based on this structure, I measured and created the parts in Solidworks, ensuring the digital models accurately reflected the physical originals.

Result

The result of this work was the production of the requested parts, along with technical drawings and the Bill of Materials (BOM). This project not only provided accurate digital models but also created comprehensive technical documentation, facilitating production and parts management. This experience significantly enriched my skills in computer-aided design and technical project management.
